Carey Adam - Physiotherapist and Owner

Carey Adam is a graduate from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Physical Education (2002) and a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation - Physical Therapy (2005). She is currently registered with the college of Physical Therapists of BC, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Physiotherapy Association of BC.

Carey has a keen interest in treating the complex issues of the elderly. This passion for seniors care combined with her high standards of service delivery led her to start Engage Mobile Physiotherapy. The Engage concept allows her to fulfill her intention of client centered care and spend her time treating her clients where they need it most - at home!

When not working with clients or on her business, Carey loves time with her family. She has a wonderful baby boy at home and can often be seen running down Dallas Road stroller in tow.

Kyle Ruttan - Physiotherapist

Kyle Ruttan graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts Kinesiology (2000), then completed a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University (2008). During his studies he worked as a personal trainer with a focus on rehabilitation and an older population. He is currently registered with the college of Physical Therapists of BC, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Physiotherapy Association of BC.

Kyle has a broad interest in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and fitness. He is also employed at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in an acute care setting. He really enjoys working with people and finds it rewarding to help them obtain their rehabilitation and fitness goals. In his free time he enjoys hiking, the outdoors, sports and fitness and craft beer.

Shona McLaren - Physiotherapist

Shona McLaren recently returned to Victoria from Calgary where she worked at Southern Alberta’s major acute care centre, as well as in the community with individuals recovering from stroke and brain injury.  A graduate of McMaster University with a Masters of Physiotherapy (2006) and the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (1998), Shona is registered with the College of Physical Therapists of BC, and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Shona values the freedom of movement that she enjoys and loves helping others appreciate the quality of life that movement allows. She is thrilled to join the Engage team in providing client centered seniors care in the home environment.

Having spent her school days on the island, Shona is excited to be back in Victoria.  Away from work, she enjoys being with her family, playing with her young daughter and keeping active outdoors.
